Bio
Andrew Gorax (aka Andris Gauracs) is a multimedia artist—filmmaker, actor, and part-time indie game developer—originally from Riga, Latvia, now based in Toronto, Canada. With over 15 years of experience in the filmmaking industry, Andrew has honed his skills as an editor, motion graphics animator, commercial video director, sketch comedy producer, and YouTuber.
In 2014, Andrew was nominated for “Best Editing Director” at the prestigious Latvian National Film Awards, “Lielais Kristaps.” He has also served as a film jury member at various local Latvian amateur film festivals.
Andrew has been active in amateur theater for over a decade, engaging in theater sports, improv, and playing key roles in classical productions such as Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing and Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. Currently, he is refining his improv skills at Second City Toronto.
Andrew’s professional background in software development has further enriched his artistic endeavors as an indie game developer. His recent project, This is Fine: The Game, gained viral popularity and showcased his unique talent in the gaming world. He is currently working on his first commercial game.
